Route/Kit List/Technical Stuff.

So, as you can see above, I have a rough route sorted. Starting from Malmo, heading North West to Vimmerby, to see my grandparents, then continuing on to Norrkoping. From Norrkoping, on to Stockholm, up past Uppsala, hitting the coast at Gavla. Following the coast around from Gavla to Timrå, cutting across country for a while until I hit the Ångermanälven river which I will follow to lake Betarsfön before cutting straight up to Storuman then roughly following the E12 to Hemevan. Joining the Kings Trail up to Nikkaluokta, and finally swinging back east for a couple days walk to Kiruna.

Kit List for the Walkers

This is the kit I suggest for anyone who’s coming to join me for a while. I have some spares you can borrow, I’ll put an (S) next to these bits. Looks a bit daunting but don’t worry, I know so good places to get cheap kit.

Rucksack (S)
Hiking boots (not wellies, please not wellies)
Foam sleeping mat (S)
Sleeping bag (S)
2 litre water bottle (even an empty coke bottle will do so don’t stress about this one)
